Any age will embrace this great set. And with all the great demonstrations, you will never need another set. Reviewed By: Wayne (McKinleyville, California) This set is a return to what you expect in a REAL chemistry set - real glass equipment, a good manual, and fun experiments. Highly recommended, but for older children - 12 to 14 and up. It is a bit pricey, but well worth the cost. As far as educational value, I would take off 1 star due to the lack of depth of chemical principles in the explanations of each experiment; on the other hand, the set is well designed, the experiments fun, and stimulate an interest in learning more on one's own.
