And if it answers your question, 7 is neutral, below seven is acidic, above 7 is basic. - Monday, September 15, 2008Works great! Lemon juice is red and drain cleaner dark brown Reviewed By: Donnie (Manhattan, NY) Works great! Lemon juice is red and drain cleaner dark brown, just as the bottle paper shows. Nice indicator on this litmus. I was going to make my own but this is a time saver. Thanx for selling it! So i had this no name drain cleaner i thought was a rip off liquid, i tested a few drops left over after finishing with it. The drain cleaner pH checked out as a high base, dark brown color on the litmus, with my new Litmus paper! :) - Thursday, August 07, 2008Litmus Reviewed By: Rick (Miami, Florida) It does not change colour to any chemical. It only gets the wet look. - Sunday, August 10, 2008Litmus Paper Reviewed By: Diane (Lanoka Harbor, New Jersey) I used my saliva it changed colors. Only problem, there are no instructions. Wanted to know which side is high and which is low of acidity. - Tuesday, February 10, 2009Mixed experience Reviewed By: Kat (Harleysville, PA) The first pack of these that we received did not work. They got wet, but did not change color. We contacted ES and they sent us a replacement pack which worked great! Would be nice if they came with some instructions and/or other information, but between the provided color chart and the internet we made do. |
