Light is not very helpful it is in wrong place. I'm still trying to figure out what the round hollow peg is for. - Friday, December 19, 2008Doesn't Work Reviewed By: gypsylou (Columbia, MO) Can't rate it 0, but that is exactly what I would rate it. This was going to be a stocking stuffer for my science boy, but it does not work. Cannot see anything. So glad I tried it out before Santa put it in the stocking. The low price should have been an indicator of quality, but I thought I would try it because of the good reviews. Not worth the shipping to send it back---it went in the trash. - Friday, April 24, 2009cheap&junky Reviewed By: suzanne (monroe, new jersey) This is very cheap - it does not work. It is a piece of junk. - Tuesday, June 02, 2009WORTHLESS Reviewed By: DENISE REARDON (CHICAGO, IL) I was so disappointed with this microscope which I purchased for my grandson. He, too, was disappointed with it. Usually the items I purchase are exceptionally well made--not his one. - Tuesday, December 04, 2007Light in the wrong place Reviewed By: Marc Myers (Cleveland, Ohio) I was disappointed to find that the built-in light provides little illumination under the lens. To use the microscope effectively, I always need a separate light source. The need to hold a flashlight in one hand and the microscope in the other makes it impossible to draw pictures, take notes, or hold an object while looking at it. |
