However, you cannot use it to simply read a temperature. You must choose one of the meat settings. The range is 140 to 190 F. For example, if you want to check your grill/oven temperature, you can't. If you want to see if your coffee is 110 F, you can't. You can buy a thermometer that does everything for this price or less.
