I have an 6 year old and a 8 year old and they loved it. It was unstable, so we carefully hot glued it to the base which didn't seem to effect the growth. I would recommend it. It had been purchased many years ago and we were afraid it would not grow, but it did! The students were thrilled. Everyday they would rush into the classroom to see what new and exciting growths had taken place. It was so much fun and we loved it. We would enjoy other products like the "Magic Garden".
