Reviewed By: Thomas B Jones (Scappoose, Oregon) Standard strength/performance of Alnico bars at a very good price. !Warning! Do NOT let Alnico magnets come into contact with (or even close enough that you can feel attraction pull) Neodymium rare earth masgnets!!! Whereas close proximity will only vey slightly weaken an Alnico's strength, actual contact will instantly and totallly demagnetize the Alnico. And I mean 'instantly': I did it on purpose as an experiment with contact lasting half a second at the very very most. And by 'totally', I mean that it took several tries & a steady hand for the Alnico to lift a straightpin off the table... A straightpin that has enough magnetism of it's own to lift one end of another straightpin & drag it around the table!!! - Friday, October 19, 2007Be Careful...
