this makes the greatest nite light ever , with the base. i use it as a nite light for my 4 year old, and helps me with my biggest fear. no not of the dark...its stepping on the small toys she forgets to pick up. i have 4 of them.one for each room so i don't have to worry about stepping on toys or tripping over my dogs..

I was invited for a weeks on the Schooner Shenandoah. Every cabin has one of these. I thought they were so interesting. Brings back memories.

Tantalizing
Reviewed By: Jon Buchanan (Jefferson City, MO)
As an engineer, very few things appeal to me unless they are very useful. This is one of the exceptions. I had the desire just to possess it, so I ordered one. It is very satisfying just to pick it up and hold it for while.

Wonderful

What a wonderful reproduction of a very ingenous peice of history. When ever someone sees it, they can't resist picking it up and try to figure out just exactly what it is. Absolutely beautiful when the sun hits it.

just plain neat

You wouldn't think that a 2lb piece of glass would be this interesting but surprisingly enough it is. It is impossible to sit or hang the prism without someone constantly taking it down and looking through it and just playing with it. It has a pleasing green translucent hue and no sharp edges. It is smooth to the touch and satisfying to hold and peer into. All from a chunk of glass.
