The only drawback is the random movement of the stars kind of takes away from the star effect and makes the outer edges look more like bioluminescent sea-life swimming around--which is still pretty cool. A little experimentation is needed to maximize the effect, but it lived up to the advertising hype. The nebula clouds look spectacular and the stars have a surprising amount of variation. Lots of bright green stars of various sizes tracking in all directions over the ceiling. But the fan noise is somewhat annoying. And if you leave this on for long, you will need some way to cool the air down. It puts out a lot of heat. The stars move a bit more franticly than I would wish, but it does create the illusion.
