Yes, it is noisy, made of a somewhat cheap plastic & produces too much heat--but for me, It is difficult to adjust, the movement is unrealistic and the stars are far too green. My kids are young, though, and love it, so it stays. Reviewed By: Ray (Rancho Cordova, CA) I was skeptical when I first heard about this thing, having bought other star projectors in the past that were totally disappointing. But this thing is incredible! It projects thousands of realistic (though green) stars on the ceiling, all subtly moving through space in different directions and speeds. The "cloud" feature is amazing as well, resembling a slowly swirling nebula. Now, this is not an astronomically-correct representation of the night sky, but it's the closest thing to a breathtaking star-filled summer sky that I've ever seen. *Highly* recommended!  -  Wednesday, October 17, 2007 has some problems Reviewed By: sandy (santa rosa, ca) I am a little disappointed, it does make noise and after leaving it on for 10 minutes some of the stars that were moving no longer move, it is past it's warrenty so I can't return it.
