I also bought it for my fourth grade class. They couldn't manage to build it either. Grade 8 boys spent two days assembling it for them, defeating the purpose of getting the kit for the grade 4 students! - Wednesday, October 17, 2007arizona Reviewed By: Gayle Eckleberry (buckeye, arizona) great for imaginative young minds! Our future engineers and inventors can use this product as a first step for great future! - Friday, December 14, 2007Not as fun as it looks! Reviewed By: Melanie (Charlottesville, VA) This looks great, but only works if built to the specified layout, and even then the plastic is not rigid enough and it falls apart, forcing you to rebuild and reconnect. We love marble runs and own four of five different ones- this is the worst one. - Tuesday, December 25, 2007Remarkably disappointing and frustrating Reviewed By: C. Perkins (Seekonk, MA) This toy is a good concept that is executed very poorly. While one could potentially build many many different models, the truth is that it is very touchy and it's difficult to make anything but the box design work. Many of the pieces are difficult to put together, even with adult hands and patience. One important piece breaks very easily. Even the gears themselves are largely decorative, rather than functional; look at the picture on the box and you'll see that most gears aren't actually connected to anything. It would be a terrific toy, if only it were designed better and made from better materials. - Sunday, December 07, 2008marble run Reviewed By: kathy (evanston, il.) I bought it for my 4h grade classroom. The kids couldn't do it without adult assistance. They didn't enjoy it. |
