I recently bought two for my grandsons. Neither worked for any length of time. As a child I observed store windows full of these birds, all working. The two I purchased would cease working after only a short time, i.e, hours. My guess, (only a guess and I would love to have the failure explained to me) is that the nap is too heavy and causes water to run down to the bulb of the bird and destroy the delicate balance necessary for the birds to continue working.
