Adequate at best

It’s hard to find anything right about these reflectors, except perhaps the basic dimensions. The tooling is terrible, and both of my 18” reflectors arrived badly warped. You can easily see bands of ridges around the inside, and two or three deep circumferential depressions in the shape as well. Probably adequate to focus solar energy for photovoltaic cells, and amateur parabolic microphones, but totally worthless for scientific applications. The listed focal length is also wrong – the given focal length is actually the physical depth of the reflectors, the actual focal length is roughly twice the given numbers (a precise estimate is impossible to give you, since the focal point is so diffuse and elliptical).

An excellent product. I'm using it as a solar collector and it works great.

I'm using the 2" dish as a reflector for my high output CFL plant light, and my cacti love it!
