It is great the way you can see through it and watch everything the ants are doing. This one is a must-have. Reviewed By: Anne Weaver (Whitehall, PA) I teach second grade in a center city school. When we were learning about insects, I bought the "Space Age Ant Habitat" for my classroom. My students couldn't wait to see how far the ants had tunneled during the night. No one was ever tardy! After school, there was always a long line of students from the other classes. I even found it amazing to watch the ants. This ant habitat is easy to use and helped to bring nature into my room. First-hand experience is always the best. This is by far the coolest experiment we have ever done! The ants we ordered arrived quickly and very much alive. Watching their tunnels develop is interesting and fun. I can't believe there is zero maintenance. Just poke 4 holes in the gel, dump in the ants and enjoy. Every family should have one!
