Reviewed By: Raven Kauba (Carmicheal, California) The ants escaped, but before that they were doing fine. i m guessing my little sis got into it! but it works great! - Saturday, June 06, 2009Cruel gift Reviewed By: Dennis (NY, NY) This is a cruel thing. Ants are supposed to live in a much larger colony. These ants are taken away from their large family and placed in this fascinating but stressful setting. Ants can live in this thing about 2 to 4 month, then they die. If you set them free, they cannot just go and join some other family, they will die outside the box. Of course, most of us don't give a dime for a few little ants, but cruelty and torturing animals is not something I want my kids to learn. - Saturday, June 27, 2009Cruel Reviewed By: Diana (Ventura, CA) The ants are really active at first but once they've dug a few tunnels they just hang out in groups acting dazed and confused! They have spent the last 2 months desperately trying to get out at the top near the air holes. My 7 year old put it well. "Lots of people don't see animals the way we do. They see them as entertainment not important like humans." I suppose because of this, it HAS taught my kids an important lesson -- the hard way. - Saturday, December 27, 2008Antworks Gel Farm=Sucess!!! Reviewed By: Amy (Delano, MN) I loved the antworks farm!!! It worked great for my science project and i got an A!!! It was totally fab!!! - Friday, January 18, 2008Great Reviewed By: Dawn (Dallas, Tx) This is the coolest ant farm i have ever seen! It is great the way you can see through it and watch everything the ants are doing. This one is a must-have. The illuminator makes it even better, you can use it as a nightlight. |
