I recieved the 4-Speed Gear Box and DC motor in good time. I assembled the gear box and motor according to the TYPE C configuration.(Gear Upon running the unit with a 3 Volt battery as suggested in the documentation that came with the device, I found that the axle was operating at approx. 60 RPM. If the gear box was the one that is specified, that would mean that the motor would have to be running at approx. 92,580 RPM. I don't think that motor has been invented yet. So....the gear box that was sent, does NOT have the 4 speed ratios that are in the advertisement of this item. If I am incorrect, please accept my appology.  -  Friday, May 29, 2009 DC Motor basis Reviewed By: George (San Lorenzo, California) This motor should run at 4.5 v dc and that should give you the 90 rpm you are looking for. 4.5/3 x 60 = 90 The dc motor is speed prop'd to arm. dc volts.
