I patiently re-glued them because my kids loved this fun and creative toy, but then the motor gear broke too. Total life span: 3 months. I reglued them and they were fine. After a year, all the stickers came off. The real problem is the motor wasn't quite strong enough to turn all the gears if they were all in use. That piece no longer works at all (2 years later with light use). I would suggest removing a few pieces of the set so the motorized gear isn't overtaxed.
