It's mezmerizing just to watch, but touch the globe and it gets even better!  -  Monday, October 08, 2007 Huge Plasma Globe! Reviewed By: DRW (Buffalo, New York) Wow, this thing is huge! It is much bigger than it appears in the picture. I was really surprised by the size. You can spend hours running your fingers over the glass and watching the plasma lightning follow your movement. He's a science nut and should treat it with respect...we'll see how durable it is. It's fascinating to watch. I wish it came with a science guide that told more about it, but we looked up "plasma ball" and came up with some good info. I was really happy I bought this.  -  Sunday, April 12, 2009 Safe when broken Reviewed By: Ellen (Honolulu, Hawaii) Oh, I wish I wasn't writing this review, but the plasma ball DID drop and break (not really my son's fault...it was on a table that got knocked and it fell off). The protective coating did keep the glass from going everywhere. It's been a long time since I could do that so imagine my disapointment when the first one I recieved failed within one week. They replaced it without a problem but now after two weeks the replacement is failing too.
