A really cool thing you can do with them is use them for super macro with a digital camera. If you get one of the convex lenses and hold it up against the lens of your camera then it will focus much closer.  -  Wednesday, September 05, 2007 Bag of Lenses Reviewed By: Al (Cedar Springs, Michigan) Life is like a bag of lenses; sometimes its clear and focused then other times its complex. You never know what you'll get in a bag of lenses. These bags are fun and makes this a great discovery.I got three bags so far over a two year span and want to get more. I'm glad to see they are still for sale with the price staying the same all these years. Most of the lenses in my bags were in exellent condition, with a chip here and there off to the side of the lenses edge with no affect to the lens. Some had minor surface scratches. Most of them were clear in color. It seems they may have been used,outdated or rejected due to the chips and such but many seemed somewhat flawless. I had a couple that were from back in my grandfathers day, a couple of lenses that looked like they were eye pieces to an old type of telescope.They were in a screw ring and they were in exellent shape and cool looking ! Most of the lenses were still wrapped in thier orginal packing tissue.(?) The only bad thing is that there was glass dust in the bag and small glass chip pieces here and there in the bags.But nothing major to be concerned with. (No loose diamonds in the bag to scratch the glass!) Many types and sizes of lenses are inside these bags.You never know what you'll get!  -  Friday, August 08, 2008 Bag of Lenses Reviewed By: Dick (Branchport, NY) The lens assortment I received from Edmond Scientifics was exactly as the described on the web site. And everything that Al from Cedar Springs said in his review can be said about my great assortment, But mine has stood the test of time, because I received my Edmond lenses about 55 years ago! And I still have them! (Well, most of them :) My 5 stars is based on the concept of using a lens assortment for experimentation, learning and just plain fun. Any kid - or adult - with an interest in science will likely treasure their assortment, as I have. I have used the lenses to make experimental telescopes, microscopes, and projectors. And now, I have even used them to assist aging eyesight!
