Reviewed By: Jessica (Cleveland, OH) Although Carnivorous Plants are fascinating to raise and watch, they are a little trickier to germinate from seed than other plants. Improper moisture, temperature, humidity, and light can adversely affect the outcome. While we tried to make everything as easy and straightforward as possible when we introduced the item in 2004, we saw that there was still room for improvement. In late 2007, we greatly improved the process by cutting the germination time in half and eliminating the need to put the entire terrarium in the refrigerator! We did this by switching to a two seed pack system that was developed in a collaborative effort with our seed breeders. We are sure that you will be thrilled with the result. We also switched to a new full color format for our instructions to more clearly illustrate what you should do when and what you should expect. All Carnivorous Creations Dome Terrariums are now shipping this way. We fully guarantee all our items to sprout and grow. If at any time you are not happy with the result, contact us at sales@dunecraft.com and we will send you new seeds and instructions, or you can pick another kit that you would like- most of our kits are designed to sprout in a week! Be sure to save your terrarium and germination mixture. My son wanted this for Christmas and the only thing that has sprouted was a piece of grass! We followed the directions perfectly with no plant growth. This item should be removed the market.
