Reviewed By: Barbara (Boise, Idaho) I actually won this scope as the grand prize, door prize at the 2008 Idaho Star Party. I would like to thank Edmunds again for their very generous donation. I normally am a refractor fan due to the sharper images that a refractor has over a reflector. This is my first MakCass and I must say that I am very impressed by the very sharp images that this scope provides. I love the ease of transport with this scope as compared to hauling around my long tube refractors too. I can now fit this scope AND my husband in my car when I go to local club star parties! More and more I find that I am picking up this scope as the only one I take to our club outings. It sets up quickly and it is easy to manuver. This would make a fantastic first scope too, and one that you will not out grow in your first year. Yes, I do recommend this scope.
