Aspiring astronomers can now experience the professional advantage of Ritchey-Chrétien optics - the same type of observatory reflector used in NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope. This impressive reflector delivers a flat field of view through hyperbolic primary and secondary mirrors. The resulting image is coma-free - absent of distortion where image of a star takes on the shape of a comet, because it cannot be focused to a point. The design even eliminates diffraction spikes and improves astigmatism, both of which are inherent in the traditional Richey-Chrétien design.

A GPS sensor inputs precise time, date, and geographical location to help quickly and precisely align the telescope, while a Zero Image-Shift Microfocuser allows you to obtain precise image focus with no image movement. The oversized primary mirror, 26mm five-element Plössl eyepiece, and Ultra-High Transmission Coatings deliver wide, fully illuminated, clarified, and bright images.
