Quartz is named for the Greek word for "Ice". The Greeks believed that rock crystal was eternally frozen water. Quartz was sacred to many ancient cultures, and in Japan the smaller quartz crystals were thought to be the congealed breath of the white dragon.

Quartz is one of the most widely distributed minerals in the earth's crust, but good quality crystals are not always easy to come by.

These beautifully clear quartz crystal clusters come from China and represent some of the finest quality quartz crystals available today.
