You can build 8 different mobile robots with this fascinating Fischertechnik ROBO kit. You'll start by constructing a simple programmable robot, using the included ROBO Interface, ROBO Pro software and your PC.

You'll then learn how to add sensors to your robot, give your robot the ability to react to signals from its environment and teach it to detect and react to obstacles. The culminating activity is construction of a 6-legged walking robot that can move forwards, backwards, left and right.

The kit includes more than 350 components:
2 power motors (reduction ratio 50:1), 4 sensors, 2 phototransistors, a lens tip lamp, detailed assembly instructions and an activity booklet for programming and controlling the robots.

Minimum computer requirements:
Pentium II 500 MHz, 64 MB RAM, 20 MB hard drive free, Windows 98/ME/NT/2000/XP, 1024 x 768 high color 16-bit graphic ability and free USB or RS232 interface to connect the ROBO Interface. An additional power supply, the Accu Set (30820-00) is required.
