These cells would have been incredible two years ago, but they're completely blown away in today's market. There are cells available today for one tenth of the price to power ratio. The only good thing I can say about these is in regards to the 1000mA cell, wiring 6 of these in parallel would give you ~ 3V at 1000mA, which is enough just about power to run a remote controlled sail boat indefintely... but for 6x$8, it's definitely not worth the price.

Good enough

This little gadget beats having a large panel. Rated at 0.5v/400ma. All you need now to crank up the output current is a voltage regulator at the output of the panel to generate a 3A output for this little device. The downside of this is that you might need a large heatsink on the regulator..
