Introduction to particle physics.
Cloud chamber includes an absorbent base material and a Styrofoam insulated block. Also comes with a coupon you mail in for a needle tipped with an alpha particle source.
When saturated with alcohol and cooled with dry ice, a cloud of alcohol vapor is created in the chamber. If a bright light source is introduced, the curved tracks of alpha particles appear as the condensation of droplets.
