Hook the Sinker in the Bottle
This is a classic science experiment in the properties of air, named after the scientist Rene Decartes (1596-1650). Air has weight, exerts pressure, and can be squeezed or compressed. The Cartesian Diver demonstrates all three properties.
The diver will float or sink in the bottle of water depending on the water level; the water level inside of the diver rises because the pressure squeezes the air into a smaller space. Place the Hook™ into the bottle, squeeze the bottle and hook the sinker!
