This exceptional CD-ROM brings the science and joy of birding into the modern world. Like a virtual field guide it contains full color photos of all birds regularly found in every region of North America. You can select one state or province or choose from one of ten regions including New England, Pacific Northwest, and Canadian Maritimes.


You will also find videos, maps, and identification tips to help you identify the birds you see in the "real world". Even if you don't know the name of a bird you can still locate it by entering colors, size, habitat and location using the "ID Wizard". The program will immediately show you photos and names of all birds that match your description. This feature is of particular use to new birders. You can record the date and location of the birds you see, and shapen your birding skills by taking one of the 300 quizzes (or even create your own quizz to challenge friends). You can also compare two birds side by size.
