Trying to imagine the size of our solar system is difficult. This stunning full-color poster provides a whole new perspective on the solar system and the Earth's place in it.
The Scaled Solar System uses two different scales for size and distance. Planet diameters relative to each other are shown using the scale 1mm = 1,000 km. Planetary distance from the sun is shown using the scale 1m = 2 million km.
Information on each of the planets, including statistics on size, and length of days and years is given. Selected comets, asteroids, spacecraft and moons are also depicted. Includes instructions. Detail shown.
