Simple Machines Kit

This kit is a proven learning experience, not only for the end users, but for the vocational education students who costed and designed the pieces.

The kit includes everything necessary to make one each of the following simple machines: a variable lever, a wheel and axle, an inclined plane, a pulley and a wedge.

The kit includes a student worksheet with diagrams and exercises to accompany the hands-on building activities. There's also a 38 minute video, featuring teacher developer Claire Zurbach who explains every step of how to construct and use the machines, and how to calculate the mechanical advantage of each machine.
