worked for us
Reviewed By:
Kitty (Omaha, NE)
Our tadpoles both lived and after more than a month or so both eventually became frogs. We changed about 1/4-1/3 of the water daily, sucking up all the debris with a turkey baster and replacing with special filtered water (not tap water!) They require daily care. Then the frogs want live food, and they are very small so it is difficult to find meal worms or crickets small enough. Also, the smell is not pleasant and the frogs hide all the time. The habitat seems so small, and slick plastic - no way for the crickets to survive till eaten for instance - they fall in the water and drown very soon, and there just is no place for the frogs to go. Yet I don't really want to invest more in a larger habitat. Kind of a pain now, but my 9-yr-old enjoyed watching them change and likes having frogs, so we will try to keep them going. Then do need daily attention. With care, it should work.
