This is an excellent book to help spark interest in young kids (as well as some of us older ones). Couple that with a Slooh gift card, and you're exploring astronomical objects in no time. It's very easy to use and understand. Makes a great addition to home schooling studies.
Well worth the money, highly recommended.

Astronomy without Frustration

I have a telescope in my closet. I originally bought it to open the wonders of the night sky to my children as a fun family activity. Oh well, since I live in Chicago - we couldn't really see much with all the light pollution. Slooh has a network of observatories around the world at professional sites - and you can see space in real-time with their online telescopes, including taking your own pictures through. The product here has a membership card and a fun activity book to guide you through the night sky. We had a ball doing it - even overruled the TV for a couple nights. Highly recommended.
