The Optical Voice Link Kit is a project-oriented introduction to optical fiber communications. This kit assumes no previous knowledge or experience with fiber optics. That will be gained during assembly and while working with the electronic microphone, analog fiber optic transmitter and receiver and the fiber cable interface included in this kit.

Once completed, you will use this device to hear your own voice after it has been converted into light and then coupled into, through and out of an optic fiber. The Optical Voice Link Kit includes a 31-page manual with instructions, background information, references, glossary and ways to extend your fiber optic link up to 10 meters. 2- 9V batteries are required (not included).
