Both models feature 40X-100X-400X magnification, 10X widefield eyepiece, and 4X/10X/40X Objectives.
For the best possible image, only the highest quality prisms (not mirrors) are used. 31148-00 uses a built-in 15W tungsten light bulb with 0.65 NA condenser and blue filter for plenty of illumination.


30818-71 being cordless means you can take it anywhere and eliminates the hassles of tangled cords. LED illumination means seeing images in a whole new light - you won't believe how brilliant these super bright bulbs are and how much they improve image clarity.


The LED model features include a specially designed condenser and illuminator lens, a rechargeable battery with a life of approximately 1,000 charges that provides 50-70 hours of use per charge, and the ability to use the microscope even when it is charging.


The body is made of die-cast aluminum with a rubber-footed stand. The easy and accurate rack and pinion focusing features lever type fine focusing. A slip clutch mechanism is built into the coarse focusing knob to prevent gear damage from over-powered turning.


The stage measures 110mm x 120mm. The specially designed, spring loaded stage clamps are locked on to provide steady and simple change-overs between specimen slides.


This microscope measures 14" in height and weights just 7 lbs.
