Meade DS-2114ATS-LNT Telescope

The Meade DS-2114ATS with Level North Technology (LNT) brings microprocessor technology and the very latest in electromechanical design to the serious beginning or intermediate observer.

The scope provides extremely smooth motions in both altitude and azimuth, and, most importantly, includes a fully integrated AutoStar control system as standard equipment. Oversize bearings on both telescope axes negate the imprecisions found universally, virtually without exception, on competing models.

A large and exciting array of objects is visible, including the Cassini division in the rings; Saturn's largest satellite, Titan; the four largest satellites of Jupiter, as well as cloud belts across the planet's disc; Moon craters, mountain ranges and fault lines by the hundreds; and hundreds of deep-space phenomena like galaxies, nebulae and star clusters.

Other features include: large 114mm (4.5") aperture; motorized GO-TO altazimuth reflecting short tube design; 1,000mm focal length (f/8.8); 2 premium Series 4000 Super Plossl eyepieces (9.7mm and 26mm); and SmartFinder(TM) with LNT including electronic level sensor, electronic magnetic north sensor, high- precision internal clock and red dot project finder.
