It's truely a kit...
Reviewed By:

It is truely a kit from another time period which means folks who built kits then had to know a little about electronics and soldering. No springy thingy's to help put wires in their place. Instructions are sparse because again you're suppose to know a little about electronics to build this beast. All-in-all for the price it's fun, and intriguing. Enjoy, but beware -- if you don't solder well and don't know the basics/beginnings of electronics you'll struggle.

Good buy for parts only

This kit is truly vintage, don't expect some snap-together no brainer kit, You need to use soldering skills and good judgement, patience, and your READING skills to put it together. Take your time and it'll go together fine, and work when you are done. Not really for the inexperienced rookie, you should at least have some level of competence in kit building, know how to solder, and a little knowledge in electronics to get it built. Once together and aligned, it's actually a decent radio with good selectivity and lots of battery run time. I built mine, I'm going to buy another. "Enjoy!" Price cannot be beat

Not satisfied

We ordered this for a senior project and the instruction manual was not included-have no idea how to put together. Some parts were broken off boards. Part of radio was already assembled. Cannot make heads or tails out of it. And last but not least customer service hours not appealing because project has to be done after school and after mom gets home from work. Not Happy. Will have to make trip to local Radio Shack and hopefully they can help us out.
