Unlike other wind meters, the jackknife case of this wind meter allows more precise wind speed readings. The user’s hand is distant from the wind impeller, which then measures undisturbed air flow. Record and measure current and maximum wind speed in addition to average wind speed over 5, 10, and 13 seconds. The easy to read LCD reads to the tenth in knots, mph, kph, ft/mimn, m/sec, and beuaforts; plus it delivers ±3% accuracy. For long-range shooting, the unit can be tripod-mounted.The water-resistant, shockproof unit also floats, so you know it will survive your many field adventures.
