It’s Hammer Time!

Build and design your own heirloom pinball game with this wood kit available only from BEST BUILT TOGETHER ®. Our step-by-step illustrated instructions will guide you through the assembly of this tabletop-sized (30” x 15” x 2.25”) game. All pieces are pre-cut - no sawing is required. Includes 15 quality plywood pieces, 100+ nails, 10 marbles and scoring stickers. The supplied template makes it easy to hammer in the nail pattern or you can customize a pinball game of your own design and difficulty level. You supply the hammer, wood glue, clamps, safety goggles, protractor, ruler, graph paper, pencil, and fine tip marker.

CUSTOMIZABLE

Your pinball kit can be personally customized in a variety of ways.

This kit arrives ready to stain or paint. Research pinball machine artwork to give your playboard a classic arcade look and feel.

The scoring of the goals can be done in a multitude of variations: by using the supplied gold star stickers, by clipping the corners off a deck of cards (not included) or by using a wood burning tool (you can purchase an inexpensive but quality woodburning kit HERE).

The gameplay can be altered by stretching everyday rubber bands (that you supply) between the nails. This creates 'bumpers' off which the marbles can richochette. 

The nail pattern itself can also be re-imagined as you please. Check vintage bagatelle game images online for inspiration.   

HISTORY

Dating back to the 18^th century, the original versions of pinball were all unpowered and flipper-less. These games instead rely on the force applied to the cue strike, gravity and a little skill to score points. Popularized in pubs across Europe, the origins of ‘bagatelle’ can be traced back to games like billiards, pachinko, and even croquet. This is a fantastic addition to any game room or man-cave to be passed down from generation to generation!
